This remains a great source for unique, incomprehensible, and unpronounceable names&#8211;but I&#8217;ve learned even more naming tricks in my tenure at WIC.<\/p>\n<p>One popular choice is to take a common name and switch one or more letters to make it an uncommon name.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll use some of my cousin&#8217;s names as examples.<\/p>\n<p>Eric becomes <b>Aric<\/b><br \/>\nSarah becomes <b>Barah<\/b><br \/>\nJoel becomes <b>Coel<\/b><br \/>\nJennifer becomes <b>Dennifer<\/b><br \/>\nAdam becomes <b>Edam<\/b><br \/>\nTabitha becomes <b>Fabitha<\/b><br \/>\nKyle becomes <b>Gyle<\/b><br \/>\nSusannah becomes <b>Husannah<\/b><br \/>\nElizabeth becomes <b>IyLizabeth<\/b><br \/>\nChristine becomes <b>Jistine<\/b><br \/>\nJoseph becomes <b>Koseph<\/b><br \/>\nJoanna becomes <b>Loanna<\/b><br \/>\nCaroline becomes <b>Maraline<\/b><br \/>\nLauren becomes <b>Nauren<\/b><br \/>\nAaron becomes <b>Oh&#8217;ron<\/b><br \/>\nNaomi becomes <b>Paomi<\/b><br \/>\nCaleb becomes <b>Qualeb<\/b><br \/>\nDonna becomes <b>Ronna<\/b><br \/>\nDaniel becomes <b>Saniel<\/b><br \/>\nJames becomes <b>Tames<\/b><br \/>\nAnthony becomes <b>Untony<\/b><br \/>\nLuke becomes <b>Vuke<\/b><br \/>\n*Note that W has been skipped because I can&#8217;t countenance lisping a name, even for an exercise*<br \/>\nBrett becomes <b>Xett<\/b><br \/>\nPaul becomes <b>Yaul<\/b><br \/>\nBenjamin becomes <b>Zenjamin<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Of course, this is only switching up the first letter of the name. Multitudes of additional combinations can be made by trading out one or more of the middle or ending letters. For example, Jane can become Hael by changing the J to an H (Hane), switching the e and the n (Haen) and then switching the N to an L.<\/p>\n<p>The possibilities are endless.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><i>Please note that all names (except those of my cousins) are fictionalized. Any resemblance with actual WIC client names is entirely accidental. :-)<\/p>\n<p>Also note that this is not a complete listing of my cousins. Exclusions were made to keep the number at 25.
