Which is why I&#8217;ve been listing my blessings on a pretty regular basis these days.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I&#8217;m thankful for lovely, inexpensive vintage dresses in double knit.<br \/>\n<img src=\"images\/20080918-1.jpg\" alt=\"green dress\" \/><br \/>\nI&#8217;m thankful for perfectly formed free green apples from my parents&#8217; tree.<br \/>\n<img src=\"images\/20080918-2.jpg\" alt=\"green apple\" \/><br \/>\nI&#8217;m thankful for a short-term roommate who did the dishes when I&#8217;ve been too lazy (or too busy) to do them for a week.<br \/>\n<img src=\"images\/20080918-3.jpg\" alt=\"pile of dishes drying\" \/><br \/>\nI&#8217;m thankful for my landlady&#8217;s husband who came and replaced our doorknob, the <i>very next day<\/i> after I called.<br \/>\n<img src=\"images\/20080918-4.jpg\" alt=\"shiny, new doorknob\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What are you thankful for?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve decided that the antidote for covetousness is gratefulness.
