Highly recommend.  Especially for younger people.<\/li>\n<li><i>Dug Down Deep<\/i> by Joshua Harris<br \/>\nEnjoyed this, recommended it to my new ladies small group\/book discussion group.  We&#8217;re going through it slowly starting last night.  So I might be giving more comments on individual portions as time goes by.<\/li>\n<li><i>Good Housekeeping Best Recipes 2000<\/i><br \/>\nMade and modified the <a href=\"http:\/\/bekahcubed.menterz.com\/recipes\/caribbean_roast_chicken.htm\">Caribbean Roast Chicken<\/a> recipe from this a couple of times.  Good stuff!<\/li>\n<li><i>If Ignorance is Bliss, Why Aren&#8217;t There More Happy People?<\/i><br \/>\nThis is a book of quotes. Brushing up while getting some more done on my &#8220;read every book&#8221; goal<\/li>\n<li><i>The Blue Zone<\/i> by Dan Buettner<br \/>\nHealth theory professor handed us an article about the author (published in Newsweek, I think).  His stuff sounded interesting.  Studying the communities around the world where people tend to live longer.<\/li>\n<li><i>Five Aspects of Woman<\/i> by Barbara Mouser<br \/>\nA theology of femininity&#8211;I&#8217;ve read excerpts, but I&#8217;m eager to actually go through this whole Bible study.  I don&#8217;t anticipate getting done anytime soon though.<\/li>\n<li><i>Forgotten God<\/i> by Francis Chan<br \/>\nPicked up after watching a video (no longer available) called &#8220;The Big Red Tractor&#8221; on <a href=\"http:\/\/takeyourvitaminz.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Vitamin Z<\/a>. It&#8217;s all about the Holy Spirit.<\/li>\n<li><i>The Girl&#8217;s Guide to Kicking Your Career into Gear<\/i><br \/>\nFinishing up school soon.  It&#8217;s about time to kick it into gear.<\/li>\n<li><i>The Glass Castle<\/i> by Jeannette Walls<br \/>\nAdded to TBR list on recommendation of <a href=\"http:\/\/waysidesacraments.blogspot.com\/2010\/01\/glass-castle.html\" target=\"_blank\">Wayside Sacraments<\/a><\/li>\n<li>**<i>Home<\/i> by Julie Andrews<br \/>\nPicked up audio book for drive to visit my sister.  Enjoyed the first disc (read by Andrews herself).<\/li>\n<li><i>Male\/Female Roles: Opposing Viewpoints<\/i><br \/>\nI enjoy the Opposing Viewpoints collections&#8211;and since I spent some time <a href=\"http:\/\/bekahcubed.menterz.com\/blog\/tag\/roles\">exploring gender roles during Love Month<\/a>, I thought I&#8217;d keep researching a bit more.<\/li>\n<li><i>Nourishing Traditions<\/i> by Sally Fallon<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/boysrulemylife.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Becky<\/a> lent\/sent me a copy of this so I could explore its claims more in depth.<\/li>\n<li><i>The Power of Half<\/i> by Kevin and Hannah Salwen<br \/>\nPicked this up based on a review from <a href=\"http:\/\/goldengrasses.blogspot.com\/2010\/02\/5252-power-of-half-hunger-game.html\" target=\"_blank\">Golden Grasses<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>**<i>The Ten Big Lies About America<\/i> by Michael Medved<br \/>\nPicked up after reading a review from <a href=\"http:\/\/seth.heasley.net\/blog\/2010\/02\/free-for-all-friday-the-10-big-lies-about-america\/\" target=\"_blank\">Seth Heasley at Collateral Bloggage<\/a><\/li>\n<li><i>The Ultimate Job Search<\/i> by Richard H. Beatty<br \/>\nShould be done with classes in two months.  I need to get a job.  Anybody know of any great jobs for RDs?  How about a great place to relocate to?  Currently, the world is my oyster&#8211;which is a bit intimidating.<\/li>\n<li>**<i>Unveiling Islam<\/i> by Ergun Mehmet Caner and Emir Fethi Caner<br \/>\nUnfortunately, I failed to bookmark the blogger that recommended this&#8211;but I was very impressed by the recommendation&#8230;and, so far, I&#8217;m pretty impressed with the book as well.  I&#8217;ve been compiling a &#8220;Cliff&#8217;s Notes&#8221; in my journal and may well post my notes online as I get going further.<\/li>\n<li>**<i>Vegetables Every Day<\/i> by Jack Bishop<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve done a couple of recipes from this so far and am very impressed.<\/li>\n<li>**<i>Words to Live By<\/i> by Charles Panati<br \/>\nA history of the origins of phrases like &#8220;Practice what you preach&#8221; and &#8220;A friend in need is a friend indeed.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>**<i>The World&#8217;s Last Night and other essays<\/i> by C.S. Lewis<br \/>\nLeftover from last month&#8211;I&#8217;ll have to finish this one quickly as it&#8217;s due back to the library soon!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Juvenile<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Children&#8217;s Picture books author ALLARD-?<\/li>\n<li><i>The Haunted Cabin Mystery<\/i> by Gertrude Warner<br \/>\nBet you couldn&#8217;t guess that I&#8217;m trying to read the Boxcar children books :-P  I&#8217;m getting to the ones I&#8217;ve never read before, being somewhat of a snob as a pre-teen and only reading the books BY Gertrude Warner (not those only CREATED BY.)<\/li>\n<li><i>I, Coriander<\/i> by Sally Gardner<br \/>\nRead <i>The Red Necklace<\/i> on my little sister&#8217;s recommendation&#8211;and thoroughly enjoyed it (it&#8217;s a historical novel set during the French Revolution.)  We&#8217;ll see about this one.<\/li>\n<li><i>Inkdeath<\/i> by Cordelia Funke<br \/>\nWorking my way through Funke.  I absolutely ADORED <i>Inkheart<\/i> and <i>Inkspell<\/i>.  I expect great things from this one.<\/li>\n<li><i>The Melted Coins<\/i> by Franklin Dixon<br \/>\nAlready finished Nancy Drew a couple of years ago.  It&#8217;s been slower getting through the Hardy Boys.
