{"id":2419,"date":"2010-04-22T19:21:32","date_gmt":"2010-04-23T00:21:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bekahcubed.menterz.com\/blog\/?p=2419"},"modified":"2010-04-22T19:21:32","modified_gmt":"2010-04-23T00:21:32","slug":"thankful-thursday-peace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bekahcubed.menterz.com\/blog\/2010\/20100422-2419.htm","title":{"rendered":"Thankful Thursday: Peace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bekahcubed.menterz.com\/blog\/category\/thankfulness\/thankful-thursday\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Thankful Thursday banner\" src=\"http:\/\/bekahcubed.menterz.com\/images\/thankfulthursday.jpg\" title=\"Thankful Thursday banner\" class=\"alignnone\" width=\"400\" height=\"133\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today, I&#8217;m thankful&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>really, I am.<\/p>\n<p>Truth be told, I&#8217;m more tired than thankful.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a whirlwind week, and the busyness will get worse before it gets better.<\/p>\n<p>One particular big decision (not a decision I must make, or even a decision regarding me&#8211;but a big decision others must make concerning a friend) weighs upon my heart.  <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m clinging to the word: &#8220;Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.&#8221; (Philippians 4:6-7)<\/p>\n<p>And so I choose not to be anxious.<\/p>\n<p>I choose to lift my requests to God.<\/p>\n<p>I choose to be thankful.<\/p>\n<p>And His peace, beyond my understanding, sets a guard over my heart and my mind.<\/p>\n<p>His will will be done.<\/p>\n<p>And for that, I am thankful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, I&#8217;m thankful&#8230; really, I am.
