Have you ever seen the Six-Word Memoir<\/a> project? I read a couple of Six-Word volumes…last year? or maybe two years ago? Anyway, I thought of them again recently and started writing some memoirs of my own–except my memory is rather fragile, so I thought they were eight-word memoirs instead of six-word. No wonder it was so easy to do.<\/p>\n

Anyhow, here are some of my eight word memoirs (with my edits to six word memoirs in italics following).<\/i><\/p>\n

Bekah, cubed: I said my name was Anna<\/p>\n

“My name is Anna.”
\n“No, Bekah(cubed)”<\/i><\/p>\n

\n

Threw up in sister’s hair. Didn’t wake up.<\/p>\n

Vomited in her hair. Slept on.<\/i><\/p>\n

\n

Prayed in Sunday School; Saved by God’s grace.<\/p>\n

Prayer didn’t save; God’s grace did.<\/i><\/p>\n

\n

Supersonic household hero bawls balls out of trees.<\/p>\n

Heroine bawls balls out of trees.<\/i><\/p>\n

I almost saw my little brother being born.<\/p>\n

Scabbed over in time to see meet baby sister.<\/p>\n
