Some people just love new things. They want a new car, a new house, new clothes. Something that’s never been used before, worn before, lived in before.<\/p>\n

\"Thankful<\/a>I am not that sort of person.<\/p>\n

I love things with a past, with stories to tell, with lives already lived.<\/p>\n

But that’s not to say that I don’t appreciate a few new things.
<\/p>\n

This week I’m thankful…<\/b><\/p>\n

…for a new year<\/b> with a chance for a sort of a fresh start<\/p>\n

…that God’s mercies are new every morning<\/b> (Lamentations 3:23)<\/p>\n

…for a new tripod<\/b> with which to take pictures (of myself–I’m so vain!)<\/p>\n

…that I am a new creature in Christ<\/b> (2 Corinthians 5:17)<\/p>\n

…for a first Christmas with my new niece<\/b> (Yes, I know she’s not so<\/i> new anymore, but she’s new enough<\/i>, right?)<\/p>\n

\"Little<\/p>\n

…that God is making all things new<\/b> (Revelation 21:5)<\/p>\n
