Snapshot: Overnight Bags

Most people, when returning to their place of origin for an overnight stay, pack an overnight bag.

I am not most people.

Here’s what I took for my overnight stay:

My trunk

  • My sewing machine
  • My sewing box
  • My cutting board
  • No less than six small baskets of fabric
  • A crate of books to be returned to the library
  • My work computer (just in case, PLEASE NO!)
  • A side of beef for my parents
  • No less than a half dozen books still to be read
  • My usual bag of Bible, notebooks, novels, and the like
  • An overnight bag

That’d be me.

  1. you are correct! you are NOT most people! that is so funny! never know what you might get around to do though. But, I must be missing the side of beef…where is it?

  2. The side of beef was added later–I actually took that picture the night before I left rather than on the day of. I wanted to keep the beef as cold as possible!

  3. Well. It sounds as if you’ll be prepared for any situation. At least, any situation that I can think of. You’ll be clothed, fed and you’ll have something to read. Hopefully you won’t need anything more than that!
